National Leadership Summit
About The Summit

Background

The global economy is experiencing a period of profound transformation. Technological disruption, geopolitical shifts, sustainability imperatives, and evolving consumer expectations are converging to create unprecedented volatility. These moments of dramatic change are known as strategic inflection points - critical junctures where enterprises must either adapt or risk decline. For leaders, these inflection points represent both existential threats and unparalleled opportunities.
Traditionally, organizations have sought resilience, aiming to withstand shocks and return to stability. Yet resilience alone is no longer sufficient. In today’s dynamic environment, enterprises must go beyond resilience to embrace antifragility - the ability to grow stronger precisely because of volatility.

Antifragile enterprises thrive amid uncertainty, leveraging disruption as a catalyst for innovation, reinvention, and competitive advantage.
The National Leadership Summit is one of CII’s most pivotal platforms, dedicated to redefining paradigms of strategic leadership in an era of unprecedented global change. Launched last year on the 15th anniversary of the CII Suresh Neotia Centre of Excellence for Leadership, this summit serves as a crucible for India’s most influential CEOs, thought leaders, and policymakers to deliberate on the evolution of leadership.
The second edition of the National Leadership Summit will be held on 7 October 2026 at Hotel Aurika, Mumbai, centered on the theme: “The Antifragile Enterprise: Thriving at Strategic Inflection Points”.
The Summit, this year, will bring together global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry practitioners to explore how organizations can transform disruption into opportunity. The discussions will span leadership strategies, innovation frameworks, cultural shifts, and strategic repositioning that enable enterprises to thrive in turbulent times.
A distinctive focus will be placed on the ‘India Advantage’. With its demographic dividend, entrepreneurial energy, digital infrastructure, and cost competitiveness, India is uniquely positioned to build global multinationals and enduring international brands.
The conference will highlight how Indian enterprises can leverage these strengths to become antifragile organizations that scale globally and shape industries worldwide.

Agenda

7 October 2026
0900 – 1000 Hrs. Registration & Welcome Tea/ Coffee
1000 – 1115 Hrs. Inaugural Session

Leadership is tested most at strategic inflection points, when industries shift and uncertainty dominate. This session explores how leaders can cultivate foresight, courage, and adaptability to guide enterprises through turbulence. It highlights the importance of sensing weak signals, making bold decisions, and inspiring teams to embrace change. Case studies of visionary leadership will illustrate how antifragile enterprises emerge stronger when guided by leaders who thrive at the edge of uncertainty.

Volatility often dismantles existing business models, but it also accelerates innovation. This session examines how antifragile enterprises harness turbulence to fuel experimentation and breakthroughs. Leaders will learn how to create environments where risk-taking is encouraged, failure is reframed as learning, and innovation pipelines thrive under pressure. Real-world examples will demonstrate how companies turned crises into opportunities for reinvention.

1305 – 1400 Hrs. Networking Lunch

Culture determines whether enterprises bend or break during disruption. This session explores how to embed antifragility into organizational DNA, ensuring that employees thrive under stress and uncertainty. It emphasizes psychological safety, rapid learning, and resilience as cultural cornerstones. Leaders will discover how to foster mindsets that embrace change, reward adaptability, and transform setbacks into growth.

Strategic inflection points are not just moments of risk; they are opportunities to redefine industries and secure long-term advantage. This session explores how enterprises can reposition themselves during disruption, capture emerging markets, and reshape competitive landscapes. Leaders will learn frameworks for identifying hidden opportunities, recalibrating strategies, and converting volatility into triumph. Case studies will show how organizations that embraced disruption emerged as industry leaders.

Resilience is no longer enough; enterprises must be antifragile to thrive in the future. This session synthesizes lessons from leadership, innovation, culture, and strategy to define what it means to be future-ready. It explores how antifragility can be institutionalized across systems, processes, and governance to ensure long-term sustainability. Leaders will learn how to design organizations that evolve continuously, thrive on uncertainty, and sustain relevance across generations.

India is at a strategic inflection point in its economic journey. With a growing domestic market, digital infrastructure, and entrepreneurial energy, Indian enterprises are poised to expand globally. This session explores how leaders can build antifragile Indian multinationals and global brands by leveraging the India Advantage - demographic dividend, cost competitiveness, and cultural adaptability. It will highlight strategies for scaling internationally, creating global Indian brands, and positioning India as a hub for antifragile enterprises.
